{"id":677,"date":"2021-12-19T16:55:09","date_gmt":"2021-12-19T21:55:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chriswagg.ca\/?p=677"},"modified":"2021-12-19T16:55:14","modified_gmt":"2021-12-19T21:55:14","slug":"donna-the-one-with-the-most-infectious-smile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chriswagg.ca\/?p=677","title":{"rendered":"Donna, The One With The Most Infectious Smile"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Donna, my sister that is closest in age, adopted into this family a few years before me, yet somehow we were treated as a second set of twins.&nbsp;&nbsp;We were a team, a pair, two peas in a pod, yet different in so many ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"855\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chriswagg.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_6239.jpg?resize=855%2C1024&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-670\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna is inquisitive, extremely curious, energetic, so creative and incredibly talented.&nbsp;&nbsp;Like many, she has persevered some of life storms but with dedication to family, working hard and making sacrifices along the way all while putting Martha Stewart to shame!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna is the most inquisitive person I know.&nbsp;&nbsp;She will ask as many questions needed until she knows the who, what, where, when and how of any situation.&nbsp;&nbsp;She loves to figure out how things work or how to create something whether a craft or one of her incredible dishes.&nbsp;&nbsp;Therein lies one of the biggest differences between us.&nbsp;&nbsp;At family gatherings she is asked to bring a decadent dessert, while I\u2019m still the buns or chips gal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"773\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chriswagg.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0233.jpg?resize=773%2C1024&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-673\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><figcaption>Donna seen here showing her determination to figure out how things work, while I sit back and watch. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While growing up, Donna was most often learning mom\u2019s craft of making preserves, sewing, or cooking up meals in the kitchen that she had learned at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?gs_ssp=eJzj4tZP1zcsyS7KSTMvNmC0UjWoMElOTjUwTTE2SksEgSQrg4q05DQjY9M0iyRzU0szU_NUL06TDIXkxLzElEQAZLYTCQ&amp;q=4h+canada&amp;rlz=1C5CHFA_enCA868CA868&amp;oq=4h&amp;aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0i512j46i175i199i512l4j0i512l2j46i175i199i512j0i512.2940j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">4H<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0I on the other hand was too busy playing outside on dirt bikes and getting into trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The one thing that I can say about Donna is that you can never underestimate her determination, her loyalty, and her capabilities.\u00a0\u00a0She has now discovered a Circut and I think she could make a living off her creations!\u00a0She now comes to my house on the first Sunday in December to help me create my Pinterest worthy Christmas tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna is the only sibling that I have ever fought with, and there were some doozies!&nbsp;&nbsp;I know for a fact that this has made us closer.&nbsp;&nbsp;We were a team no matter what.&nbsp;&nbsp;All I can say is that my life would have been so very different without her.&nbsp;&nbsp;Although I talk a lot about the happiness and love we both received, there is a darker side to being adopted.&nbsp;&nbsp;There are times of feeling like you don\u2019t belong, like you don\u2019t look like anyone in the family, that you did belong somewhere else at one time.&nbsp;&nbsp;Having a sister that was exactly like me in this way gave me comfort that I am only realizing while writing these family blogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"690\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chriswagg.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_6237.jpg?resize=1024%2C690&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-671\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chriswagg.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_6237-980x660.jpg 980w, https:\/\/chriswagg.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_6237-480x323.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><figcaption>Alway smiling!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna is now living her best life!&nbsp;&nbsp;She\u2019s a grandmother to young Cayden and is the proud mama to her 6 chickens that she can name off in a jiff (oh my, a mom saying for sure!).&nbsp;&nbsp;She is now married to a wonderful addition to our family, Harry.
